Topic: face brick and mortar leaks
I had a home built in 2001, front is face brick with siding on sides an back. During strong rains i being to get some leaking into my basement wall. the basement concrete wall is about 15 inches above ground. I started isolating by hitting parts of the brick under the window sills wil a hose. after about 10 mins I begin to see some water seeping down in the basement. I haved caulked the seam where the face brick meet the concrete wall. My question is can water seep through brick and mortar do I need to use some sort of waterproof sealer on the face of the brick and joints to stop this? Thanks
