We generally perform a light powerwashing of a building both before and after the process. If the face is too soft obviously we try another technique. If powerwashing removes enough mortar without damaging the brick is there any reason not to do so? IE rather than handremoving the mortar with a chisel or grinder. Does the MIA have any information on this?
